ASX closes three points shy of record high
Tech stocks on the local market firmed on Monday after strong earnings on Wall Street from tech giants Alphabet and Twitter on Friday. Wisetech Global shares rose 1.8 per cent to $33.25, Altium advanced 3 per cent to $37.92, Appen firmed 3.4 per cent to $31.42, Afterpay Touch added 4 per cent to end the session at $27.18, Nearmap climbed 2.1 per cent to $3.34 and Xero closed 1.1 per cent higher at $65.27.
